Traffic Calming & Pedestrian Improvement Study
Traffic Calming & Pedestrian Improvement Study
Throughout 2026, the Town of Wendell conducted a Traffic Calming and Pedestrian Improvement Study, with the contracted assistance of Kimley-Horn, for three roads in town:
Big Falls Drive
Taylor Road
Hollybrook Road
The plan sought to assess the current conditions of the roads, pedestrian and vehicle traffic, public input and technical analysis to create recommendations for future improvements to both pedestrian and vehicle infrastructure to make these areas even safer.
Several public input sessions were held throughout the study over two phases to gain feedback from citizens on proposed improvements. An online survey was live throughout the process as well.
Final results from the study are found in the document center below.
