There are plenty of options for transportation in Wendell.

The Zebulon/Wendell-Raleigh Express (ZWX) bus route is a limited-stop route, with stops at the Zebulon Walmart, Park-and-Ride lots in Zebulon and Wendell, Wendell Falls (both at Publix and at Martin Pond Road), the WakeMed Raleigh Campus on New Bern Ave, and Raleigh Union Station in downtown Raleigh. At Raleigh Union Station, riders can link with Amtrak or other GoTriangle or GoRaleigh buses. The service is a partnership of GoTriangle, the towns of Wendell and Zebulon, and the City of Raleigh.

Beginning November 9, 2025, the ZWX route became an all-day service between Downtown Raleigh and Zebulon, with stops in Wendell Falls and at the Wendell Park and Ride. For more information, visit GoTriangle's page or use the direct link to the route: gotriangle.org/route-ZWX.

The Wendell Park and Ride Lot is located at 7 N Oakwood Avenue in downtown Wendell.

As of February 2025, GoRaleigh has extended their Route 33L line from Knightdale to Wake Tech East in Wendell. Info on the route can be found here. Folks can use the GoWake SmartRide NE to grab a ride to Wake Tech East and from there take a bus into Raleigh, where the rest of the GoRaleigh network becomes available to them. Route 33L only services Wendell on weekdays currently.
